Holiday Sales are Up!

Dealer locations are reporting better than expected holiday sales. With ten shopping days left retail customers are taking advantage of deep discounts and other incentives offered by dealers. This along with seasonable weather has helped dealers to attain their sales goals for December.  “This is the last chance for customers to buy at 2009 pricing and beat the increase next season” says one dealer.  Another says, ” We’re guaranteeing delivery for Christmas if ordered by the 15th which is a great incentive for the late shoppers”. Package discounts and “freebies” have also been successful for some dealers as well as offering “free delivery” or “free installation”.  ” Its been a good season overall and we’d like to end it with bang” says another dealer.

With reports of retail sales trending upward, dealers are optimistic about next season.  By continuing to offer their customers the best value and service they’ll be able to maintain and grow sales for 2010.  It’s most important to be able to compete with the mass merchants, yet still provide a higher quality product and level of customer service. Keeping costs down has allowed retailers to remain competitive yet still be profitable.  Smaller margins and higher volume are what successful dealers are concentrating their efforts on for next season.
